Writing Contests

Right after sending in my first copyright application, I was bombarded with a string of writing contests and grants. My initial thinking was, “yahoo!” It seemed like I had hit the mother load. Just as fast as they could send them, I’d fill out the applications, but I pressed pause when everyone kept requiring entry fees, processing fees, reading fees, editing fees, publishing fees, submissions fees and anthology fees.
